God’s Wonderful Plan for Humanity! Part 2

By David J. Smith
November 25, 2006

Jesus Christ is coming to save mankind! He is not in the destroying business. However, it is true that anyone who will not obey Him when there is no Satan and his angels to deceive them will be cast into a Lake of Fire. This fire is not primarily for humans. It is primarily for the devil and his angels. “Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed [the death penalty], into everlasting [age lasting] fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25: 41).

The word “everlasting” is #166-165 in the Greek section of the Strong’s Concordance. It means age. However long it takes for all combustible matter in the fire to burn up is how long it will burn. This understanding is confirmed in Malachi 4:1-3, “For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and ALL the proud … and ALL that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. … And YOU [saved] shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, says the Lord of hosts.”

When anything burns and is reduced to its lowest form, it becomes ashes. This is scientific. But it is also scientific that inert gases are released into the atmosphere as a result of burning. “But the wicked shall perish … INTO SMOKE SHALL THEY CONSUME AWAY.” (Psalm 37: 20).

This consuming fire is after Jesus offers salvation to the world. So how will He offer salvation to people that has been dead for thousands of years? How will He offer salvation to all the people who have never heard the name of Jesus? Remember Lazarus? He had been dead for three days when Jesus finally came to his tomb site and called his name, and he revived to life!

Isaiah 26 describes God’s salvation to Israel on a physical level. He described the dead rulers that oppressed them. The scene changes in verse 19 in reference to Israel: “Your dead men shall live, together with my [Isaiah’s] dead body shall they arise … and the earth shall cast out the dead.”

What will be the purpose for “casting out the dead?” Did not Romans 11: 25-27 say that when Christ [the Deliverer] shall come all Israel would be saved? The words saved, salvation, etc., when “to salvage.” Salvage from what? DEATH!!! Look what has been hidden away in scripture all these centuries!

“Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, … And I will sanctify My great name, which was profaned among the heathen … and the heathen shall KNOW that I am the Lord … when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you into your own land [when He comes the second time]. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A NEW HEART also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them. … I will also SAVE you from all uncleanness … Then shall you remember your own evil ways … and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations, Not for your sakes do I this … be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel. … I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men … and they shall KNOW that I am the Lord” (Ezekiel 36: 22-38). This describes the Israelites that are left from the horrible end time events and regathered at Christ’s return. But what about the dead that were deceived and never had an opportunity to KNOW Jesus?

Men made the chapter breaks for convenient reference. Keep reading: “The hand of the Lord was upon me … and set me [Ezekiel] down in the midst of the valley which was FULL OF BONES. … they were very dry [been dead a long time]. And He said unto me, … can these bones LIVE? … Thus says the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall LIVE: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall LIVE; and you shall KNOW that I am the Lord. So I prophesied … there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. … the skin covered them … but there was no breath in them. … Prophesy unto the wind, … and say … breath upon these slain, that they may LIVE. … the breath came into them, and they LIVED, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding GREAT army. Then He said unto me, … these bones are the WHOLE house of Israel: behold, THEY say, Our bones are dried, and our hope [of salvation] is lost [because of false teachings about God’s plan of salvation]: … Thus says the Lord God, Behold, O My people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And you shall KNOW that I am the Lord, WHEN I HAVE OPENED YOUR GRAVES … AND BROUGHT YOU UP OUT OF YOUR GRAVES, And shall PUT MY SPIRIT IN YOU, and you shall LIVE, … THEN shall you KNOW that I the Lord have spoken it, and PERFORMED IT, says the Lord” (Ezekiel 37: 1-14).

King David will be their king under Christ [v. 24-28]. Truly, God is the God of the LIVING and not the dead. The world has a wonderful future once God’s plan is complete. Will YOU be part of it? I hope so!!!
