The Bible gives us a chronology of the kings of Israel and Judah and their evil practices in I & II Kings and I & II Chronicles. It is amazing how human nature never changes without the Spirit of God providing the power for that change. Very few kings sought to turn the nations of Israel and Judah back to God. Nothing has changed!
A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks.
The study concluded that the statements “were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses.” (The study was posted on January 23, 2008 on the Web site of the Center For Public Integrity, which worked with Fund for Independence in Journalism).
The Tavistock Institute was founded in Britain for the purpose of learning to “brainwash” the public and incite them to war. The same tactics developed at Tavistock were used by the Bush Administration to foment war with Saddam Hussein and Iraq.
White House spokesman Scott Stanzel would not comment on the study, rather just stated that the world community viewed Saddam Hussein as a threat. Our own government stated that Saddam Hussein was the only stabilizing factor in the Middle East. With his removal, did that signify that the Bush Administration wanted to destabilize the Middle East?
Stanzel said: “The actions taken in 2003 were based on the collective judgment of intelligence agencies around the world.”
The study counted 935 FALSE statements in the two-year period. It found that in speeches, briefings, interviews, and other venues, Bush and administration officials stated unequivocally on at least 532 occasions that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction or was trying to produce or obtain them or had links to al-Qaida or both.
“It is now beyond dispute that Iraq did not possess any weapons of mass destruction or have meaningful ties to al-Qaida,” according to Charles Lewis and Mark Reading-Smith of the Fund for Independence in Journalism staff members, writing an overview of the study. “In short, the Bush Administration led the nation to war on the basis of erroneous information that it methodically propagated and that culminated in military action against Iraq on March 19, 2003.”
Named in the study along with Bush, were top officials of the administration during the period studied: Vice President Dick Cheney, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, Secretary of State Colin Powell, Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz and White House press secretaries Ari Fleischer and Scott McClellan.
Bush led with 259 FALSE statements, 231 about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and 28 about Iraq’s links to al-Qaida, the study found. Colin Powell had 244 false statements about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and 10 about Iraq and al-Qaida.
The center said the study was based on a database created with public statements over the two years beginning on September 11, 2001, and information from more than 25 government reports, books, articles, speeches, and interviews.
The cumulative effect of these false statements, amplified by thousands of news stories and broadcasts, was massive. The mass media was not critical of the President and his officials that perpetrated the lies that have seen thousands killed, maimed physically and psychologically, leaving wives and children without a parent, or a husband and father that will never recover mentally.
Just like in ancient Israel, the leader’s sins are leading the way to a departure from the only true and living God of the Bible. Isaiah, the prophet, was told to “cry aloud, lift up your voice like a trumpet, and show my people their sins” (Isaiah 58: 1). That means the sins of the leaders also.
America has been defiled by its leader’s lies and treachery that are hungry for profits and the creation of the New World Order –one world government!
The ONLY hope for the nation is the establishment of the Kingdom of God on this earth (Revelation 1: 5-6; 5: 9-10; 20: 4; Daniel 7: 18, 22, 27). God said He would “scatter the power of the holy people” in Daniel 12: 7b! He gave the time setting in Daniel 12: 4 – when world travel was achieved and knowledge would be increased. Look around! Knowledge is doubling every two and one-half years. We know that our time is short. Trouble for America is just over the horizon. Psalms 91 – read it!!!
