SATAN'S FATE: A FRESH LOOK!

Satan and his existence, his work and deception, have always been much talked about. Can we know for certainty about him and his work, and FATE?

Paul instructs us to "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good" (1 Thess. 5:21). We must make every attempt to be accurate in our research and conclusions. Thus, we will have GROWN in grace and knowledge (2 Pet. 3:18). Webster's New International, Unabridged Dictionary, states: PROVE; to try: to determine by a standard; to test; to establish by evidence; establish validity. ASSUME: to take for granted, or without proof; to SUPPOSE as a fact.

Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, said to PROVE - or establish by evidence - all things. We are NOT to take for granted or suppose something is a fact.

SOME BACKGROUND ABOUT SATAN

Where did Satan come from and where is he going? What has been my previous concept about Satan? Let's unravel Satan's past and future step-by-step.

"Now there was a day when the sons of God [created angels] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan [which means Adversary] came among them. And the Lord said unto Satan, whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it" (Job 1:6-7). "…And the Lord said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the EARTH and from walking up and down in it. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou MOVEDST ME AGAINST HIM, TO DESTROY HIM WITHOUT CAUSE. And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the Lord said unto Satan, behold, he is in thine [Satan's] hand; BUT SAVE HIS LIFE" (Job 2:1-6).

This section of scripture CLEARLY shows that a LITERAL being called Satan exists and has been GRANTED PERMISSION by the true God to afflict mankind, but cannot take his life. Earth is Satan's territory to afflict man. These scriptures also show Satan was created from spirit; otherwise, he could not travel the universe to God's throne and back without oxygen and food to sustain his life. He can live independent of the earth's atmosphere.

Conformation of this activity is found in the New Testament [writings]. "Be sober, be vigilant; BECAUSE your ADVERSARY the DEVIL, as a roaring lion, WALKETH about SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR" (1 Pet. 5:8). The name DEVIL and SATAN refer to the same individual. "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan,…(Rev. 12:9).

SATAN - BREAKER OF GOD'S LAW

According to 1 Jn. 3:4, "Sin is the transgression of the law." And Rom. 5:13 says "But sin is not imputed when there is no law." If God does NOT have a law in effect to violate, then no one is declared guilty of sin. Yet the Bible says "all have sinned" (Rom. 3:23). So God's law IS in force today, and anyone, including Satan, who breaks it becomes a sinner. In Jn. 8:44 Satan the devil is declared a law-breaker. "Ye [religious hypocrites] are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your [spiritual] father ye will do. He was a MURDERER from the beginning, and abode NOT in the truth, because there is NO truth in him. When he speaketh a LIE, he speaketh of his own: for he [Satan] is a LIAR, and the father of it." Satan became a transgressor; therefore, a law breaker. What is the "wages of sin?" "For the WAGES [payment earned] of sin IS DEATH (Rom. 6:23).

EXAMPLES OF HOW SATAN WORKS

Since Satan is composed of spirit, invisible to the human eye, he can occupy the same area as a solid object. Jesus dematerialized and walked right through walls into locked rooms. Notice what Satan did: "Then ENTERED Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve" (Lk. 22:3). This spirit being can influence people by actual possession of their body and control their mind - but ONLY if the individual allows it.
