Dear Newswatch Magazine Listeners/Readers:
If we all have spiritual ears to hear and eyes to see with, we should be able to discern the times in which we live. Jesus revealed in Matthew 24 and parallel books in general terms what to look for in the future to determine how close we were coming to the end of this age and the dawning of the kingdom of God on this earth (Revelation 20: 4, 6; Revelation 5: 9-10; Daniel 7: 18, 22, 27).
Jesus gave some very clear sign-posts for us to watch and determine WHEN they are occurring. One of those was the "regathering" of the Tribe of Judah - nicknamed Jews today. That event is described in Zechariah 12-13 and culminating with the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to deliver them from another captivity and the "Battle of Armageddon" (Zechariah 14; Revelation 16:16). Has the House of Judah started a return to Palestine? Yes, since 1948 when the first mandate of the United Nations set up their homeland. When you read carefully Zechariah 12-13, you will understand their fulfilling these chapters.
Jesus also gave another sign-post - when we see Jerusalem surrounded with armies (Luke 21). Because of the situation that occurred on September 11, 2001, there have been cries for the United Nations to separate the Jews and Muslims that "peace" might be achieved. According to Daniel 9: 24-27, there will come a brokered peace by NATO [confines of the old holy Roman Empire]. NATO includes the United States. Who was the "terrorist" event against? The United States - a member of NATO! Article V of the NATO pack states that a strike against any one member nation is considered a strike against them all.
The United States led military activities in Afghanistan could possibly lead to an all out military assault into the Middle East against Pakistan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yeman, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Egypt. There might be an attempt to go into Libya and Ethiopia and the Sudan. All this activity will be monitored by Russia and China. Claims are being made by the Taliban army that 20,000 Chinese troops are on the ground within their borders. The ironic part is that the CIA created the Taliban with American tax dollars. They were warned by people inside government that they were creating a "monster."
Could this be setting the stage for two other prophecies? One is found in Daniel 11:40-45. It specifies the "king of the south" [Arab world] will push against the "king of the north" [NATO Alliance] in such a way that an invasion of the Arab/Islamic world would occur. With the invasion and bombing of Afghanistan, could this lead directly into the second possible fulfillment? It is found in Jeremiah 30: 4-7. This prophecy identifies WHO will be involved - the House of Judah [known as Jews today - one tribe of Israel] AND the House of Israel [that separated from Judah's lines of kings after Solomon's death - 1 Kings 11-12]. The northern ten tribed House of Israel was sifted through the nations as punishment for their sins [call I-800-516-8736 to get information about our publication Focus of the Great Tribulation]. The Lost Ten Tribes were to regather and become independent nations "in the last days" (Genesis 49 & 48).
The United States is from the Tribe of Joseph as well as Great Britain. The word Brit-ish is two Hebrew words meaning "covenant man." The word Brit-ain is two Hebrew words meaning "covenant land." The object of the radical Islamics that follow such men as Osama bin Laden is to destroy the economic backbone of America. According to Jeremiah's prophecy called the "time of Jacob's trouble" [Israel's], unspeakable events will transpire - such as mini-nukes or nuclear strikes on some of our cities, or chemical/biological events. When the "time of Jacob's [Israel's]" trouble comes in all its fury, the nation will be shocked at what they are seeing. The Bible uses the term "voice of trembling, of fear, and NOT of peace." It also states that such horror will descend upon us that stomach pains will grip men and women out of shear terror. It says "Alas! For that day is great, so that NONE is like it:" However, in spite of the terrible results God will intervene in His behind the scenes way to save us out of this horror.
This event of September 11, 2001 could also be the beginning of another prophecy. It is found in the last part of Daniel 12:7. It states that the last 3 ½ years before Christ's intervention that God will allow "the scattering of the holy people." This means the military, economic, political and religious power that America has. Read Genesis 49:22-26. It says that Joseph [modern U.S. and Britain] was made "strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob [Israel]." Who was it that has taken the message of Jesus around the world as missionaries? It was the United States and Britain! Pray that God will have mercy upon a sinful land!!!
