Dear Newswatch Magazine Listeners/Readers:
T he U.N. Convention to Combat Desertification was ratified by the U.S. Senate on October 18, 2000. It was ratified without most of the Senators even knowing they had voted for its ratification. It was mixed in as a package of 34 Treaties that were passed by a voice vote - not individual counts so American citizens could know whether their Senator voted for a Marxist treaty for LAND control. Americans are guaranteed by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to be able to own private property WITHOUT the federal or state government controlling it.
The Desertification Treaty claims jurisdiction over 70% of the land area of the earth. A related treaty being developed by the U.N. Commission on Water for the 21st Century would control the use of ALL natural resources on earth.
There is no distinction between federally or privately controlled land in this Treaty. Marxism controls ALL property, and it belongs to the state. What the Communists could not achieve - destruction of our Constitution completely - they are getting around by Treaties. The Senate can vote to nullify a Treaty, and it has no binding force anymore. BUT - will Congress have the guts to do so? That's the question.
There is at least one county in New Mexico that has stood up to the federal government and said "stay within the Tenth Amendment." 2,500 populated Catron County, New Mexico, stood up to the feds and won. Using the Endangered Species Act, the U.S. government all but shutdown the logging, mining, and grazing businesses in the county.
They hired a new County Counsel to battle the feds on Constitutional grounds. They said the county had the final authority over all public lands, either federally or state owned. They told the Fish and Wildlife agency to take their Mexican Owl plan and leave the county.
Then the new County Counsel advised the County Board of Supervisors to pass the U.S. Constitution as a county ordinance. They sent letters to all federal officials in the county and told them they had better not do one thing without the Counties permission. Four Forest Service law enforcement officials came into the County Supervisor's meeting and threatened to arrest the whole board. The head supervisor said: "If you do, I will convene a special grand jury on the spot, and I'll have the sheriff arrest you."
County sheriff's in Wyoming have now insisted that all federal law-enforcement officers and their personnel from federal regulatory agencies must clear all their activities in a Wyoming county with the Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Association won court case No.2:96-cv-009-J that returned state's right to Wyoming. The Court ruled: "Wyoming is a sovereign state and the duly elected sheriff of a county is the highest law enforcement official within a county and has law enforcement powers exceeding that of any other state or federal official."
On January 25, 2001, reports came from Austin, Texas that regular army troops from Fort Hood along with State Police and the Austin Swat Team were holding a checkpoint on Interstate 35 south of Austin.
Cameraman Mike Hanson showed up at the checkpoint around 11:00 AM CST. He was an eye witness of the military and police taking their blockades off the highway.
This was not a checkpoint for the seven escaped convicts. They had been caught two days earlier in Colorado. WHAT IF OUR NATION CONTINUES DOWN THE ROAD TOWARD A POLICE STATE?
Texas was once an independent nation before becoming part of the United States - from 1836-1845. If the citizens of Texas became so irate concerning infringements upon our Constitutional Guaranteed Rights, what does Texas have to offer those citizens to survive as an independent Republic - separate from the United States?
Texas has NASA in Houston which would allow it to control the space industry.
Texas refines 85% of the gasoline in the United States.
Texas has 65% of the Defense Industry. That would give new meaning to the phrase "Don't mess with Texas."
Texas has enough oil that is known to last for the next 300 years. There is also enough natural gas for that same period of time.
Texas leads the nation in the Computer Industry. It leads the nation in producing computer chips. Companies such as Texas Instruments, Dell Computer, EDS, etc. are in Texas.
Texas has the largest research centers for Cancer, the best burn centers, and other health planning centers such as the Baylor Hospitals all over Texas.
Texas has enough colleges to educate our people: University of Texas, Texas A & M, Rice, TCU, University of Houston, SMU, Baylor, University of North Texas, Texas Women's University, and many smaller colleges and universities.
Texas controls the paper industry, plastics, insurance, etc.
If Texas ran short of manpower, the border could be opened to some Mexicans for laborers. These are only a small amount of what Texas has to offer.
Texas has more farms than any other state.
Revelation 12:13-17 could see a region such as Texas as its fulfillment. Only Jesus Christ knows for sure where the "woman" will flee for Divine Protection.
