Dear Newswatch Magazine Listeners/Readers:
Being a follower of Jesus Christ at the close of the age is NOT an easy path to trod. God the Father and Jesus His Son and our Savior, when planning the creation of the world to become suitable for man to live upon, decided to leave a rebel without a cause on this orb. His name was Lucifer UNTIL iniquity was found in him. God changed his name to match what he was involved in - being an adversary to Him and all His creation. He is now known as Satan. Satan has angels that also rebelled against God (Revelation 12:1-4; Isaiah 14:12).
We've all read and heard about the story of Job. Satan approached God's very throne room when the angels, called sons of God, came to meet before God. Satan very carefully sought out permission to GO AFTER Job for the purpose of destroying him spiritually (Job 1 & 2). Satan didn't necessarily come after Job with a spiritual frontal attack to begin with; rather Satan prepared the spiritual spoils of war by FIRST discouraging through the physical - sickness, loss of job, lust for more money, attack family members that are held so dearly in our minds, cause a rift between friends, etc. These are all physical in nature, but they will and can spill over into the spiritual.
If Satan or an angel of his causes the loss of a job, it can affect our pocket book with the inability to pay the bills on time. Since God gave him the permission, He may not step in the instant we pray for relief. This becomes a trial of our FAITH. The physical problem spills over into the spiritual. Will our FAITH sustain us until the trial is over? Will we look to our own physical power to overcome? OR will we leave this problem in the hands of Jesus UNTIL He deems it time to give relief. Relying upon ourselves, if relief didn't come quickly, could bring despair, hopelessness, and a desire to give up. That is why it is so important to GIVE everything into the hands of Jesus and God the Father. According to Matthew 28:18, Jesus has been given ALL authority in heaven AND in earth.
When a problem becomes known in someone's life, God has promised that if that problem becomes TOO hard to carry He will provide a way out - AND GOD'S WAY IS NOT TO QUIT OUR CALLING, RATHER RECOGNIZE HIS INTERVENTION FOR ESCAPE FROM THE PROBLEM TO GAIN RELIEF. Read God's word and BELIEVE IT: "Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he FALL. There has NO temptation taken you but such as IS COMMON to man: but God IS FAITHFUL, who will not suffer [allow] you to be tempted ABOVE that you are able; but WILL with the temptation also make a way to ESCAPE, that you may be able to bear it" (1 Corinthians 10:12-13).
God is preparing "a people" TO STAND at the "close of the age." That stand will be a spiritual battle for the saving of our lives - SPIRITUALLY!!! A whole chapter has been laid before us assuring of a resurrection from the dead if we die before Christ returns or if we are martyred for the name of Jesus. WE CANNOT DENY HIS NAME AND AUTHORITY OVER AND IN OUR LIVES. No matter what governments inspired by Satan and his angels do to us, we MUST not give up on our belief system, for: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we MUST be saved" (Acts 4:12). Of course, that name is Jesus (V. 10).
The one-world-government prophesied in Revelation 13 is rising. The United Nations is in the process of gaining full political and military power over every nation on earth. They are now confiscating guns in sovereign nations - Macedonia. Will they come to confiscate guns in America? A Twenty-Nine Palms Marine survey of the military personnel stationed there were asked if they would go door-to-door and take American's guns if required. They were also asked if they would SHOOT those who failed to turn their guns in within a certain time. The United Nations is controlled by Communism. The Senate Committee on Un-American Activities proved that in 1952-1953. Every member of the United States delegation to the San Francisco founding meeting in 1945 were found to be secret communists.
Will you be ready spiritually to meet the future if God chose not to protect you from this godless system? Paul wrote, "Finally…be strong in the Lord, and in the POWER of HIS might. Put on the WHOLE armor of God, that you may be able to STAND against the wiles [tricks] of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against WICKED SPIRITS [literal Greek] in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to WITHSTAND in THE EVIL DAY, and having done all, to STAND [remain faithful]" (Ephesians 6:10-13).
Paul then describes the various pieces of armor and the spiritual counterparts. Do we KNOW what TRUTH is? Righteousness? Gospel [good news] of peace? Faith? Salvation? Word of God? Your knowledge of everyone of these will determine how well you fight the spiritual battle for your mind. The military of the United Nations can kill our physical bodies - but will they deprive you or me of spiritual salvation also? NOT IF WE HAVE ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD!!! A part of the TRUTH is the FACT of the resurrection FROM the dead. I pray you will not take your calling lightly!
